Things
…are rather bullshitty tonight.
Hartsfield MusicPark
Text from a Facebook blog and the subsequent exchange. It speaks for itself.
HARTSFIELD MUSICPARK
Ugh. I really didn’t want to write about this. But here it goes, just a few words on a gig gone bad.
My band (one of them anyway), The Fiddleworms was hired to play the Hartsfield Jam at HartsfieldMusicPark(http://www.facebook.com/hartsfieldmusicpark) on September 24, 2010. It was to be a...

The new Bo Bice single “You Take Yourself With You”. I’m the guy playing da bass. Enjoy.
P-Bass Build: Epilogue
I had to prove that this bass-which I put together with mine own bony hands-is fully functional.
Then again, for all you know, this bass could be a total piece of shit that I’m just posing quietly with.
But it ain’t. And I’m not.

P-Bass Build Pt. 5. It's done.
Well it’s done folks. Here are the final steps in my build. I went traditional on everything here. I wired the bass using cloth covered wire, but I used CTS pots and an Orange Drop capacitor. Pots are smooth and quiet.
I retrofitted this modern neck with a set of lefty Kluson style reverse tuners made by Gotoh. These are direct replacements for vintage Fender bass tuners. They look cool...

P-Bass Build Pt. 4
Ok. The big surface chip I pulled out of the peghead and glued back down was driving me bat-shit crazy. So I sanded it to smooth it out then refinished the clearcoat on the peghead and did the requisite wet sanding, blah, blah blah. How I did this without ruining the Fender decal, I’ll never know. The edges of the chip are still somewhat visible, but now it just resembles a grain...

P-Bass Build Pt. 3
Nothing too exciting, just installed tuner bushings. I had to break out the Dremel again to bore out the headstock to fit vintage style bushings. It didn’t take much to make them fit. The only snag is that there was a surface chip in the peghead that was making itself known (this is a slightly dinged up used neck) and it came loose while working on it. I glued it back and clamped it but...

P-Bass Build Pt. 2
When I got the body for this bass, I was a little stressed to find that a Warmoth neck pocket doesn’t line up exactly with a Fender neck. The difference is there, but it’s not bad. There’s a slight difference in the curvature in the “corners” of the Warmoth neck pocket vs the Fender neck, so consequently the neck’s bolt holes don’t line up with the...

Identity Crisis.
Jesus. I’m having the hardest time trying to write a passage about a subject on which I am one of the world’s leading authorities: me. The passage in question is a bio succinctly detailing my musical exploits in a way in which I sound competent and marketable.
So what’s the problem?
I can say without any doubt or sense of ego that I’m competent and marketable as a...
Myspace
Oh, god. Here’s another Myspace blog I forgot about. It can generally apply to Facebook too. Originally posted on February 18, 2008.
So I’ve been thinking lately. As an artist/musician/whatever, I always try to stay creative in my playing and thinking. Well, why shouldn’t the same logic apply to Myspace? I mean, isn’t your page supposed to be a representation of...
Saint Patrick's Day
NOTE: This is an old blog that I posted on Myspace. I’m revamping that page and deleting a lot of old stuff, but I enjoyed writing this drivel, so here it is. It was originally published on March 17, 2008. My apologies to the Irish….
Well. It’s that time of year again. The height of tax season you say? The post-Oscar doldrums that leave you questioning the general fabulousness of it...
Independence Day
Happy belated Birthday, America. I hope this note finds you well.
Ok, I know. I was just trying to be polite.
I didn’t really get you anything this year but I hope the thought counts for something.
Anyway, welcome to my fucking blog.
I’ve started a blog for the same reasons everyone else on the planet has- because they’re self-important douchebags who are convinced that their...
